A Customer Story: Central Valley Barber College Gets a New Paging and Background Music Sound System
Central Valley Barber College, located in Riverbank, California, turned to Pure Resonance Audio in need of a dynamic sound system that could play music for its customers while also creating an efficient means of communicating directly with its students.
Andrew, a sales engineer at Pure Resonance Audio, customized a multi-zone paging and background music system that included the PMZ16 Remote Paging Microphone Station, an RZMA240BT 4 Zone 240W Multi-Zone Rack Mount Mixer Amplifier, PD6 6.5" Hanging Pendant Speakers and an S5 4.5" 70 Volt Weather-Resistant Indoor/Outdoor Surface Mount Speakers.
Central Valley Barber College was founded in 2014 to instruct aspiring barbers using hands-on, traditional barbering techniques. Carl Gibbs was tasked with outfitting the college with a complete system that would serve multiple functions. When he reached out to Pure Resonance Audio, Gibbs asked for a solution that would allow instructors to stay connected with their students throughout the building and play great-sounding music for customers. We ensured they received a commercial paging and background music sound system that would offer all the functionality they needed.
We began architecting this solution with the Pure Resonance Audio PD6 6.5" Hanging Pendant Speakers, designed perfectly for the college's open-ceiling commercial application. These 70-volt pendant mount speakers are easy to install and provide clear, intelligible audio for paging, announcements, foreground, and background music.

A 180-degree mounting bracket allows for quick and easy installation and is perfect for foreground and background music, paging, announcements, and general-purpose audio.
Next, Central Valley Barber College opted to pair this speaker system with an RZMA240BT 4 Zone 240W Multi-Zone Rack Mount Mixer Amplifier– a powerful 4 zone commercial mixer amplifier equipped with 240 watts per zone, built-in MP3, FM tuner, Bluetooth, and recording capabilities.
The final touch to this custom setup included the PMZ16 Remote Paging Microphone Station This zone control microphone allows the college instructors to page each of their zones independently or all zones simultaneously, making it a perfect fit for their particular paging needs.
The result was an ideal sound system setup, and Central Valley Barber College couldn’t be more pleased.
