A Customer Story: How Mains Technology Solutions Improved a Client's Space with a Sound Masking Sound System
Background
Jon Mains, owner and operator of Mains Technology Solutions, has been in the low-voltage integration industry for years. Since launching his business in 2015, he’s built his company from the ground up, relying almost entirely on word-of-mouth and repeat customers. That kind of loyalty speaks to the quality of his work and his commitment to customer service. Mains Technology Solutions handles everything in-house from cabling, product procurement, system installation, and ongoing tech support, making them a true one-stop shop for advanced technology integration.
Working with Pure Resonance Audio
When a client needed a cleaner, more efficient way to manage noise throughout their space, Jon began searching for a sound masking sound system that would deliver reliable, professional results. A quick online search led him to Pure Resonance Audio where their solutions immediately stood out.
The goal was to replace more than a dozen consumer-grade white noise machines that cluttered hallways and offices, providing inconsistent coverage and obstructing walkways. After working with Sales Engineer Andrew McPherson, Jon was able to implement a much more streamlined and professional solution that was easy to understand, well-priced, and met every requirement for his client’s needs.
The installation included 13 Pure Resonance Audio C3 3” commercial ceiling speakers, chosen for their clean, low-profile design that blended seamlessly into the client’s space and made installation simple. One detail that stood out to Jon was the in-and-out terminal design on the back of each speaker. This feature allowed for a secure mechanical connection between speakers, offering a more reliable and professional alternative to wire nuts or T-taps.
To complete the system, Jon used the Pure Resonance Audio RMA120BT rack mount mixer amplifier with Bluetooth capabilities paired with a sound masking generator to deliver consistent white noise throughout the environment. For added flexibility, a 70V Decora volume control was installed, allowing the client to easily adjust the volume level of the system.
Reflection
Since the installation, the client’s response has been overwhelmingly positive. Jon also sees long-term value in the system’s flexibility. With support for Bluetooth and other media sources, it has the potential to serve additional purposes, such as background music or audio for training rooms. Overall, Jon was thoroughly impressed and rated every product in the project a 10 out of 10.
This project is a strong example of how a well-designed white noise sound system can enhance the overall experience of a client’s space. For Mains Technology Solutions, it marks another successful installation that reinforces their commitment to delivering high-quality, professional solutions.
